To Weave A Highland Tapestry by Mary Morgan
Series: Order of the Dragon Knights
Genres: Historical Romance
Patrick MacFhearguis, hardened by battles won and lost, desires what he can never have—peace within his heart and soul. Yet, the ever-meddling Fae weave a new journey for him to conquer. A task this highlander is determined to resist.
When skilled weaver, Gwen Hywel, is commissioned to create a tapestry for the MacFhearguis clan, she embraces the assignment. While seeking out ideas, she finds herself clutching the one thread that can alter the tapestry of her life and heart.
A man conflicted by past deeds. A woman with no family of her own. Is it possible for love to unravel an ancient past, in order to claim two badly scarred hearts? Or will the light of hope be doused forever?

If you love a good time-travel Scottish romance then this is the book for you. Gwen Hywel is hired by the MacFhearguis to create a tapestry. She sets out on a tour of the property to get ideas. It is then she learns of a curse and gives a tug on a thread which changes everything. She finds herself back in 13th century Scotland. There she meets Patrick MacFhearguis whom her heart craves. Now she has to choose love and break the curse or go back to her own time and break her heart.
The Fae are working overtime in this book. They are trying to bring together damaged souls regardless of the century they live in. Gwen and Patrick don’t jump into each others arms when they meet. Both have suffered past hurts that have shaped their presents. Patrick and Gwen are the perfect balance to one another (even if they don’t see it at first.) She is the light to his darkness.
While this is my first book in the Order of Dragon Knights you can certainly read it on its own. Other characters from the previous books that I was curious about so I added them to my list to go back and read. This was a well written book that drew me in from the first page.
